Students of 4ºB are studying irrational numbers, one of the most famous is PI.
We weight PI using lentils, water and a 3D-printed cylinder and prism. Pi is four times the ratio between the quotient of their volumes (Volume cylinder/volume prism)

Students from 1º bachA have been working with fractals and the relationship with mathematical concepts such as sequences and limits. They constructed two fractals using Geogebra and later they recorded a video explaining Sierpinski Gasket and shared them with our French partners in eTwinning.
This is Rubén's video
4º B bilingual students are recording videos about the utility of mathematics in real world as members of the eTwinning project "Modeling life".

Student's from 4ºESO B have been working on a proposal about the length of Izpisua's inch.
It is well known that an inch is exactly 25,4 mm, but we wanted to study if our students' inch is similar to the official measurement.
We did the following:
They measured their own inch using a caliper in their physics class (see the photos below)
It is very close to the median (19,5mm) and the mean (19,8 mm)
It is the mode. (20mm)
It is in between the lower and the higher quartile. (17,5mm – 21mm)
They also studied if there were correlation between students' high and their inch, the conclussion was that there isn't statistical relationship because the correlation was 0,27 and it is low.
They have learnt in this activity that different subjects such as maths and physics are linked .
With 1st ESO with are making some origami tasks about Halloween. Here you are some examples.
